Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the car rental services provided by THEOR RENT EXPERT S.R.L. through the website Rent24.ro} ("we", "us", or "our"). By booking or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms in full.

2. Booking and Confirmation
- All bookings must be made via Rent24.ro} or via our authorized partners.
- A booking is only considered confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us with a reservation code.
- We reserve the right to cancel or modify any booking if we suspect fraud, misuse, or technical error.
3. Driver Requirements
- The driver must be at least 21 years of age (age limits may vary by vehicle category).
- The driver must hold a valid driving license for at least 12 months (or longer as specified per category).
- Additional documentation may be required, such as a national ID, passport, or international driving permit.
4. Vehicle Use & Responsibilities
- The vehicle must only be used by authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement.
- The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, off-road, or illegal purposes.
- The renter is fully responsible for any traffic fines, penalties, or tolls incurred during the rental period.
- Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. A cleaning fee may apply for non-compliance.
- The vehicle must be returned in the same condition and fuel level as delivered.
5. Deposit & Payment
- A security deposit may be required at pickup (amount varies by vehicle class and payment method).
- Accepted payment methods: credit card, debit card, or other methods listed on Rent24.ro}.
- In the case of prepayment or online payment, a valid payment confirmation is required at pickup.
6. Insurance & Liability
- Our vehicles are covered by mandatory liability insurance and optional damage protection packages.
- Basic insurance includes third-party liability. Damage to the rented vehicle may still incur excess charges.
- The renter is liable for damage, theft, or loss unless full insurance coverage has been purchased.
- In the event of an accident, the police must be notified immediately, and a report must be obtained.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time, unless otherwise stated.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a full or partial charge.
- Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method.
8. Late Return, Early Return & Extensions
- Returning the car late may result in additional hourly or daily charges.
- Early returns are not subject to partial refunds unless agreed in writing.
- Extensions must be requested before the original return time and approved by us.
9. Fuel Policy
- The default fuel policy is "same-to-same": the fuel level at return must match the pickup level.
- Failure to return the vehicle with the correct fuel level will incur refueling charges.
10. Cross-Border Travel
- Taking the vehicle outside of Romania requires prior written approval and may incur extra fees.
- Unauthorized cross-border travel may result in contract termination and additional penalties.
11. Breakdown & Assistance
- In case of mechanical breakdown or accident, contact our support immediately via +40.750.256.291 or contact@rent24.ro.
- Emergency roadside assistance is included in all rentals unless otherwise stated.
12. Personal Data
We collect and process your personal data according to our Privacy Policy, in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on Rent24.ro}, including text, logos, design, and media, is the intellectual property of THEOR RENT EXPERT S.R.L. and may not be used without written permission.
14. Limitation of Liability
- We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our vehicles.
- We are not liable for personal items left in the vehicle or lost during rental.
- Our total liability is limited to the value of the rental contract, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union.
- Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Romania.
16. Amendments
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
